“I’m worried that my baby won’t be comfortable or will get fussy during the session.”

“My baby might have blemishes, dry skin, or look a little off during the newborn stage.”

There are many concerns and many hesitations when looking into having a newborn session done.  But one thing is for sure, no one has ever regretted doing it!

Timeless Images

I love images that will stand the test of time. Classic edits with a slight color pop. I want the focus to be on your beautiful baby and not on the edit to the image.

Education

Newborn Photography takes specialized training in how to best photograph baby as well as keeping baby safe. Since 2016 I have taken multiple in person and online classes and workshops. A Caralee Case & Jennifer Nace workshop and also multiple in person workshops with Ana Brandt. I’ve also attended 3 in person photography summit’s hosted by Ana Brandt to learn from Ana as well as many industry leaders. Along with in person learning I have dedicated numerous hours learning online and video courses from Ana Brandt as well as The Milky Way Education.

Sick Policy

I take your babies health seriously and I will notify you if I become sick and I ask you to do the same. We can reschedule the session. Also, I am constantly cleaning my hands. I can wear a mask upon request.

The studio is cleaned before and after every session. Surfaces, furniture, props, clothing, etc.

FAQ

When should I schedule a newborn session? The ideal time to schedule at the beginning of the third trimester of pregnancy. This way I get you on the books and I save time just after your due date. It also gives me times to plan and prep for your session.

What if the baby does not arrive on the due date or has to spend time in the hospital? No problem. When you book the session, we set up what is called a soft date. This means that it can change depending on when the baby is born. When the baby is born, you will need to call or email me and let me know. At that point after getting some information from you, we will set the session date. Most sessions are scheduled anywhere from 6-14 days after birth.

What if I missed the newborn window and still want baby pictures? I can still take pictures of your baby; however, I may not be able to pose your baby that I normally would. As a baby gets older they may not want curl or be wrapped like you see in newborn pictures. But I encourage you to get the pictures, your baby is still small and beautiful and worth being remember at this time of his/her life.

I have a variety of outfits for boys and girls as well as backgrounds and wraps for the session. You do not need to provide anything.

The session will be about 2 to 2 1/2 hrs long. This will also depend a little bit on how long it takes to settle baby in between setups.
